JAMES GREENWOOD, Producer, Songwriter and Artist

James Greenwood (aka Ghost Culture) is a producer, songwriter, and artist best known for his long-standing collaboration with Daniel Avery, co-writing and producing all of Avery’s major releases to date. He also co-wrote and produced Kelly Lee Owens’s acclaimed album Inner Song and is currently back in the studio with both of them working on new material.

As Ghost Culture, Greenwood gained recognition with his 2015 self-titled debut on Erol Alkan’s Phantasy Sound, followed by the critically acclaimed Nucleus EP. His production on Falle Nioke’s single “Barké” earned heavy support from BBC 6 Music and DJs like Mary Anne Hobbs and Huw Stephens, and was added to the A-list rotation on BBC 6 Music

Recently, he has co-written and produced tracks for Confidence Man, Anna Prior (Metronomy), Alison Goldfrapp, Sophie Ellis-Bextor, and Mel C, as well as collaborating with Duke Dumont, The Itch and Ruthlss, among others. Greenwood now releases music under Demise of Love—a new Domino-signed project with Daniel Avery and Syd Minsky-Sargeant.
